Kokohuia Lodge receives great review in Conde Nast Traveller

We're thrilled to bits that Kokohuia Lodge has a had a great review in Conde Nast Traveller, the world's leading travel magazine. Its a real coup for us and follows a stay in the Lodge by freelance journalist Ralph Bestic, who also writes for The Tatler and The Australian Financial Review. Articles like this are great for us because they generate a profile for us in many ways. Kokohuia Lodge is fast becoming Honeymoon Central!

Over the last few months, honeymoons have accounted for a really high percentage of our bookings. Although, guests have been choosing us as a great place for a romantic getaway since we opened, the honeymoon side of things has really taken off recently. Maybe its the fact that guests have complete privacy and luxury when they stay, maybe its the romantic bath at the foot of the bed - whatever it is, newlyweds are choosing us in their droves. Its been a great month in the media for Kokohuia Lodge!

Kokohuia Lodge has had another run of great stories in both print and digital media. We've been featured in an article entitled 'New Zealand's Coolest Boutique Hotels', on ivillage.co.uk, a huge UK website, targeted at women, which receives over 3.5 million hits to its home page every month. Article in iVillage. We've also been reviewed favourably in a double-page spread in Journeys magazine, Journeys Magazine article, which is like an AA Directions for Tasmania. We're extremely happy about this because we've been actively targeting the Australian market. Its a really great piece and can be found on pages 18 and 19. Kokohuia Lodge Featured in Lifestyle Block

Lifestyle Block magazine featured Kokohuia Lodge in its September issue, a pdf of the article can be downloaded here. LSB_SEPT_lodge (Needs Adobe Acrobat Reader to view). We were absolutely delighted, as we are both avid Lifestyle Block readers. We were even more delighted when we opened the magazine and saw that, instead of the 2 or 3 pages that we had anticipated, they had printed 8 pages of interview and photos! New Zealand Accommodation – in the Guardian UK!

Not just any old New Zealand accommodation, but Kokohuia Lodge! Imagine our surprise and delight to see this snippet  in the UK newspaper The Guardian. When we started out we wanted to do something different and unique, and opening a luxury B & B in the Far North of New Zealand is certainly that. But being in such a remote area, we also ran the risk of being overlooked by people who maybe looking for  exactly our type of accommodation.
