About Kokohuia Lodge

Kokohuia Lodge offers you a luxury escape, while still maintaining the highest standards of sustainable living.  Exclusively accommodating one couple only, the Lodge is both sophisticated and private. Perched high above the native bush, enjoy breathtaking views by day and a panorama of stars by night.

We provide tea and coffee making facilities, using organic and fair trade products. Fresh fruit, yogurt and muesli are provided in your fridge, so that you can help yourselves to a breakfast first course at your leisure. We then deliver a delicious cooked course at a time of your choice between 8am and 10am. Our breakfasts are prepared using fresh home grown, or locally sourced and organic produce wherever possible. We only use free range eggs and free farmed meat products.

Drift off to sleep in the luxurious King Size bed with natural latex matress and integrated Bose sound system. We offer a wide selection of pillows to suit your taste and high quality natural linen sheets. The free standing double bath with panoramic views offers an unforgettable experience. There is also a private en-suite with shower. Unlimited wireless broadband access is available, although we would be happy to turn the modem off if you would like to have a digital detox!

There are restaurants and cafes nearby, or we can serve you a romantic two course dinner in the Lodge. We also have a small but perfectly formed list of Northland wines available.
